It's Been A While

Hello All,

HAPPY LONG WEEK-END to all my fellow Canadians!
Happy Birthday to this little Blog not many post but hoping to make some more posting for the next year!
We are enjoying a great "Summer" week-end in late May, wonder what the rest of the summer is going to be like if we are having temps in the 20's already, we are coming along on our bathroom renovation still but it has come to a little stand still, as we decided we needed some re-NEW-ing ourselves and took a little R & R at one our favourite places in North America (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina) as I always say to Phil I am a Carolina Girl at heart and feel that my soul is just right for the climate well maybe?
Me, Brooke and Phil
(Olivia choose to stay home and go to school)
So here is some up-to-date photos of the bathroom renovation

Its been awhile...

Hello all,

Sorry its been a while since I have updated on what has been happening around our little home on House Ave.,
We are busy in getting the place ready for Christmas and trying to complete one of the major projects to hit our home in 8 years (and its yet to be done!)  We have decided temporary finish the dining room first so it is useable until its gets its major overall!
I will be giving/doing a virtual open house of our home at Christmas and will be linking it to some great blogs here on the world wide web...stay tuned

Til next time,

And it begins

October 14, 2011.

Last night we decided to take on the first big project in our “little house” on House Ave in Brantford.  The toilet in the downstairs had sprung a leak and it needed to be replaced, so off to Home Hardware we went to purchase a new one, which was on sale. (Yeah) So when we brought it home Philip decided to remove the hold one and discovered that it had been leaking more than expected.
So now out goes the floor and a new sub floor will be need to be laid, upon pulling up the floor we said to each other that we hate the floor plan of this bathroom not very user friendly if you are downstairs and need to come up, yep the downstairs access is through this bathroom. The door is moving over, walls are being adjusted and well let’s just say a major gut job…Merry Christmas to us (hopefully it will be done before Christmas because this reno is affecting my dining room too!)

We are heading out on a hike while we were camping at one of our favourite spots to stay in Tobermory, Ontario.

We have given up camping for now since I have introduced the girls to my love of travelling to far away places including a place where a mouse is supreme and everybody can be a princess!

I have introduced my girls too, is a great beach as well, this one we get to drive to though.
